Foundation
Divine Mercy Hospital (DMH) Tororo started as a clinic in 1992 for vector – bone diseases. It had a simple laboratory to detect malaria parasites plus a few other simple diagnoses. The clinic grew and its activities expanded due to public demand. When the laboratory proved good, people started demanding for other tests and a gap was realized for such services in Tororo. Over time, the simple laboratory evolved into a modern medical laboratory. The laboratory is equipped with automated haematology and clinical chemistry analyses, culture and sensitively test are also carried out. Vector unit is developed under the Community Based Vector Control Organization (COVECO) as an NGO. Divine Mercy Hospital is therefore providing Health Delivery in a holistic manner.
